THE DIRECTOR OF THE ROSGUARD VISITED UNITS IN THE REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA AND KHERSON REGION

The Director of the Rosguard Army General Viktor Zolotov visited the units of the the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Crimea and Kherson region.

At one of the training range in the Republic of Crimea, the head of the Rosguard checked the training of snipers who participate in the special military operation, skills in handling various types of weapons, elements of tactical and shooting training. Army General Viktor Zolotov highly appreciated the training of the personnel, presenting a sniper rifle of one of the latest modifications to the National Guard unit.

In the Kherson region, the head of the Rosguard during an official meeting heard reports from commanding staff on the situation in the region and assigned tasks, including the comprehensive supply of the National Guard units.

From the first days of the beginning of the special military operation, the employees and servicemen of the Russian National Guard have been performing a wide range of service and combat tasks. In addition to direct participation in the combat actions in the most critical areas, they ensure the security of important infrastructure and transport communications, protect public order, and detect and suppress the activities of sabotage reconnaissance groups.

As Viktor Zolotov noted, there were the increase in the number of mercenaries from Europe in the special military operation area. They have significant experience in participating in armed conflicts in various countries of the world, and appropriate training. Despite this, during the combat actions the employees and servicemen of the Rosguard demonstrate higher professionalism and skills.

The Rosguardsmen on a daily basis carry out activities to detect caches with weapons and ammunition, carry out demining. Since the beginning of the special military operation, the engineering units of the National Guard Troops have destroyed more than 13 tons of explosives and neutralized over 112 000 dangerous items in the liberated territories. The Rosguard sappers cleared hundreds of private households and plots, as well as about 17 thousand kilometers of roads from unexploded shells, saving the lives of civilians.

In addition to performing combat missions, the employees and servicemen of the Russian National Guard provide assistance to the local population. In particular, they assist citizens in establishing a peaceful life, help with food and medicine, guard and escort convoys with humanitarian cargo, and ensure the protection of public order.

During the trip, the Director of the Rosguard inspected the organization of service and combat activities, assessed the conditions of service and life of the employees and military personnel of the National Guard, paying special attention to the provision of modern weapons and equipment, talked to the personnel.

Army General Viktor Zolotov thanked the employees and servicemen for the successful completion of the assigned tasks, and also presented state awards to the Rosguardsmen who distinguished themselves during the special military operation: the Order of Courage, the medal "For Courage", the Suvorov medal.

The head of the Rosguard noted that the employees and military personnel of the Russian Guard carry out service and combat missions in the most critical and strategically important areas, demonstrating courage and heroism. And this work was noted not only by concrete results, but also by military awards. Since the beginning of the special military operation, 10 officers of the Russian National Guard Troops have been awarded the high title of Hero of the Russian Federation, more than 20 thousand were presented state and departmental awards.
