On behalf of the Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Army General Viktor Zolotov, Chief of the General Staff of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation – Deputy Director of the Rosguard, Colonel General Yuri Yashin presented state awards to the servicemen who distinguished themselves in the performance of military and official duty during the special military operation. Among the high awards presented to the Rosguardsmen are the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree and the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I degree with swords, as well as the Suvorov medal.
Currently, the Russian National Guard is effectively and at a high level fulfilling all assigned tasks. The Rosguard personnel and employees take an active part in combat actions in the most critical areas, ensure the security of important infrastructure and transport communications, protect public order, detect and suppresses the activities of sabotage groups.
From the first days of the special military operation, one of the key tasks of the National Guard Troops was the establishment of a peaceful life in the liberated territories. The Rosguardsmen ensure the safety of the delivery of humanitarian aid to the population, protect public order and public safety on the streets of the liberated villages and cities, and assist local residents to restore monuments to the Soviet soldiers. In addition, they evacuate people from the shelling zones and provide them with first aid in case of injuries.
During the special military operation, for courage, heroism and bravery demonstrated during performance of service and combat tasks, 10 officers of the Russian National Guard were awarded the high title of the Hero of the Russian Federation, more than 20 thousand awarded state and departmental decorations.
