In Moscow, the Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Army General Viktor Zolotov presented state awards to the employees of Rosguard who distinguished themselves during the special military operation in Ukraine.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a Police Colonel of Rosguard was awarded the Order of Courage. Police Lieutenant Colonels were awarded the medal of the Order of "Merit for the Fatherland", II degree.
Thanks to the high level of professional skill, courage and personal courage of the officers, who competently led their subordinates in combat situations, it was possible to prevent several attacks on military columns, avoid losses among the personnel of the units, inflict significant damage to the enemy in manpower and equipment, and detain a large number of the armed formations participants.
Only as a result of one of the firefights with the nationalists, a Rosguard unit destroyed 3 mortar squads, captured several foreign portable anti-tank guided missile launchers and captured more than 50 mines of 82 mm caliber with fuses. In addition, a notebook with records of the number of personnel and the number of equipment of the enemy units, the exact coordinates of their locations, and personal documents of the nationalists were found.
For high performance in service and combat activities the Rosguard Major General of Police was awarded the medal of the Order of "Merit for the Fatherland", II degree.
Presenting the awards, Viktor Zolotov noted the high level of professional training of the officers, thanked them for the faithful performance of their duty and their courage and heroism.
The head of Rosguard emphasized that thanks to our warriors-liberators, a peaceful life is being established. Thousands of old people, women and children are leaving basements and shelters, schools and kindergartens are reopening. People in the liberated territories begin to smile and feel safe.
After the award ceremony was over, the officers handed over to the Central Museum of the National Guard Troops the trophy flags of the nationalist formations captured during the special military operation in Ukraine for storage.
