An officer of a separate operational battalion of the Russian National Guard Troops rescued a seriously wounded militia fighter of the Donetsk People's Republic and ensured the advancement of the Russian Troops in an important section of the position area in the Kharkov region.
The Rosguard servicemen carried out the task of guarding and defending the “Grad” multiple launch rocket systems, when, as a result of radio interception, it became known about the impending ambush of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the positions of the Russian Troops. It was necessary to provide fire cover for the forward positions of the MLRS for a counterattack. This task was assigned to the unit of the National Guard Troops.
Arriving at the firing position, the servicemen found themselves under massive artillery fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of the shelling, the militiamen from Donbass suffered. After examining their positions, the officer saw a burning infantry fighting vehicle and a tank, under which a seriously wounded soldier was laying. The Rosguard officer took him to a safe place, where he applied a tourniquet and bandaged his wounds. After that, he was evacuated to the Izyum city hospital, where the wounded man was given all necessary medical assistance.
