On December 29, 2021, in Moscow, the Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Army General Viktor Zolotov congratulated the personnel of Rosguard on the upcoming New Year and Christmas, and also presented state and departmental awards to the servicemen and employees who distinguished themselves in the line of duty, as well as handed over new shoulder straps to the officers who have been promoted higher military and special ranks.
Army General Viktor Zolotov noted that in 2021 the National Guard Troops effectively and at a high level completed all the assigned tasks. The personnel of Rosguard took active part in ensuring the security of the European Football Championship, the elections of deputies to the State Duma and the All-Russian Population Census.
The Director of Rosguard emphasized that the National Guard Troops made a worthy contribution to the natural disasters management in the Siberian and Far Eastern Regions, as well as in southern part of Russia and the Crimean Peninsula. In addition, the Commander-in-Chief noted the participation of medical personnel, servicemen and employees of the Russian National Guard in the ongoing fight against Coronavirus infection.
The head of Rosguard drew attention to the fact that, performing difficult tasks on the front line, servicemen and employees even being off duty are always ready to help people in trouble. And this is the main criterion that gives a true representation of the Law Enforcement Troops.
In his speech, Army General Viktor Zolotov recalled that 2021 we celebrated two anniversaries (the 210th anniversary of the Russian Law Enforcement Troops and the 5th anniversary of Rosguard) that marked the historical continuity of Rosguard at the present stage of development of the Law Enforcement Troops.
The coming year of 2022 will be no less eventful for memorable dates and events. So, the Engineering Service of the Troops will celebrate its 75th anniversary, the non-departmental security (security police) units will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment, and the personnel of the Special Rapid Response Units (SOBR) will accept congratulations on the 30th anniversary. Furthermore, in a month the Russian National Guard servicemen will take part in the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing as part of the National Olympic Team.
Army General Viktor Zolotov emphasized that in 2022, work will continue to further strengthen the potential of the Troops, develop units for the protection of important state facilities, implement digital transformation measures, and increase the efficiency of the aviation military units.
The head of Rosguard also stressed that the issues of social well-being of personnel and the creation of decent service conditions remain in the focus of constant attention.
Concluding the solemn meeting, Army General Viktor Zolotov wished the servicemen and employees of the Russian National Guard a fighting spirit, self-confidence and focus on achieving results.
The Director of the Federal Service expressed special gratitude to the families and relatives of the National Guard servicemen and employees, who courageously share the hardships of service with them, as well as to the veterans of the Law Enforcement Troops, wishing them to maintain constant good spirits and optimism.
After the meeting, the artists of the National Guard Troops Exemplary Band performed a concert for the servicemen and employees.
