THE “UAE SWAT CHALLENGE” INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF SPECIAL FORCES UNITS STARTS IN DUBAI

On February 20-24, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) will host the "UAE SWAT Challenge-2023" international competition of Special Forces Units.

It is attended by 57 teams from 28 countries. The Russian National Guard is represented by the teams from Special Rapid Response Units (SOBR) and the “Vityaz” Special Purpose Center.

The draw for the first tactical stage, which will take place on February 20, was held today. The “Vityaz” team starts first, the SOBR team will start 10th. They will have to enter a simulated room in gas masks, release the hostages and destroy the terrorists. It is important to distinguish terrorists from hostages among the targets and eliminate all intruders. The competition organizers are constantly changing the environment so that team members do not pass information to each other.

The first team will begin the test at 8:00 on February 20 (07:00 Moscow time).
