A delegation of the Law Enforcement Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Commander-in-Chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan was received in Moscow.
As part of the event, negotiations were held with the Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Army General Viktor Zolotov, after which the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation and the Law Enforcement Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The document provides for the exchange of experience on law enforcement, the protection of important state facilities, the fight against terrorism and extremism, and the ensuring force support to the activities aimed at combating crime.
The parties exchanged views on topical issues on the agenda and discussed the prospects for further development of interservice cooperation.
In addition, the Iranian delegation visited the Central Museum of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, where they got acquainted with the history of the Rosguard.
At the demonstration performance in the Moscow Main Directorate of the Rosguard, the officers of the "Stolitsa" Special Rapid Response Unit (SOBR) and the canine specialists of the "Avangard" Special Purpose Mobile Unit (OMON) demonstrated to foreign guests the skills of neutralizing armed criminals. The attention of foreign partners was also presented to modern models of weapons, special means and equipment of the personnel.
