Viktor Zolotov

Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation

Viktor Zolotov was born in Ryazan Region.                          

From year 1990 to 2000 he served in various senior military positions in the state security agencies of the Russian Federation. Viktor Zolotov graduated from the Law Institute and the General Staff Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. 

From 2000 to 2013 – Head of the Guard Service of the President of the Russian Federation.

Since 2013 – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. 

By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 12, 2014, he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander-in-Chief of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated November 10, 2015, he was promoted Army General.

By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 5, 2016, Viktor Zolotov was appointed Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

He is awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" III and IV degrees, Order of Alexander Nevsky, Order for Courage, Order "For Military Merit", Order of "Friendship" and many other medals. He holds the honorary title "Honored Employee of the State Guard Agencies of the Russian Federation".
