December 12, 2022, Moscow. The Secretary of State - Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation – Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation Colonel General Oleg Plokhoy held the talks with the Deputy Director General of the National Police of the Republic of Nicaragua, Chief Police Commissioner Aldo Saenz.
During the working meeting, the parties exchanged views on the topical issues of the bilateral agenda, and also discussed the prospects for further development of interdepartmental cooperation. At the end of the event, the Agreement on Cooperation between the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation and the National Police of the Republic of Nicaragua and the protocol on cooperation in the field of educational and scientific activities between the St. Petersburg Military Institute of the Russian National Guard Troops and the Police Academy of the Republic of Nicaragua named after Valter Mendoza Martinez.
The signing of the international documents opens a new page in the history of relations between the Rosguard and the National Police of Nicaragua. The formation of a legal framework for cooperation will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of interaction in such areas, in particular, as protecting public order and ensuring public safety, countering modern forms of terrorism and extremism, as well as ensuring the activities aimed at combating crime. In addition, the necessary conditions have been created for the deepening cooperation through the exchange of experience, personnel and employees training, conducting joint exercises and training sessions.
Strengthening the cooperation between educational institutions will contribute to the expansion of contacts in the field of education and science.
During their stay in Russia, the members of Nicaraguan delegation visited the Special Forces Center for the Police Rapid Response Units and Aviation of the Rosguard. The foreign partners got acquainted with the modern models of automotive and special equipment, as well as the weapons. In addition, demonstrative tactical and special classes were held for the foreign guests.
