ALEXEI VOROBYOV EXAMINED THE READINESS OF THE ROSGUARD SPECIAL FORCES SERVICEMEN FOR THE MAROON BERET TEST AND HELD A WORKING MEETING WITH FOREIGN COLLEAGUES

By order of the Director of the Russian National Guard Troops Federal Service, Army General Viktor Zolotov, the deputy Director of the Rosguard, Colonel General Alexey Vorobyov, examined the preparation of the Special Forces servicemen for the execution of combat missions and the upcoming final stage of the test for the right to wear the Maroon Beret, which will be held at the premises of the Separate Operational Division named after Dzerzhinsky of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the deputy Commander-in-chief met with delegations of the General Command of the Law Enforcement Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus at the training center of the Division.

As part of strengthening international cooperation during their visit, foreign colleagues will visit the Rosguard units and familiarize themselves with the organization of military and political work, the structure and tasks of the Rosguard.

During the meeting, the guests were told about the procedure for testing members of the National Guard Troops Special Forces for the right to wear the Maroon Beret. The participation of the delegations as observers at the tests will be a separate item of the agenda.

The event was attended by the First Deputy Head of the  Directorate General for the Special Forces and the Maroon Berets Council Chairman Major General Vasily Semin and the  Head of the “Vityaz” Special Forces Center of the National Guard Troops, the Hero of Russia Colonel Alexander Beloglazov, as well as officers from the Central Command of the Rosguard.

The Special Forces personnel of the National Guard Troops demonstrated to the foreign guests how to pass the standardized tests in such disciplines as military-political aspects, shooting, physical, mountain, altitude, tactical and special trainings, engineering, tactical medicine, communications and military topography.

The Iraqi delegation is headed by Yasser Hussein Mana Alais, Deputy Assistant Chief for Operations of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces.

The guests also visited the Dzerzhinsky Separate Operational Division of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation. The foreign colleagues were shown samples of modern weapons and equipment of the National Guard Troops, introduced to the living conditions and accommodation of the military personnel, shown the Division's canine center and training facilities. The guests also had a chance to familiarize themselves with the exposition of the museum of the Division history and military glory.
During the visit, the members of the Iraqi delegation will visit an exhibition of trophy Western military hardware at the Victory Museum in Moscow, which was seized during the special military operation by Russian servicemen.
