On March 27, in the Hall of Fame of the Victory Museum, the Director of the National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation - Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Army General Viktor Zolotov presented the "Gold Star" medals to the Heroes of the Russian Federation Police Major General Vyacheslav Pytkov, Colonel Sergei Khairudinov and Captain Nikita Palaznik. The officers of the Rosguard were awarded this high title for the courage and heroism shown in the performance of the tasks of the special military operation.
The head of the Rosguard also presented the Order of Courage, the insignia of the Order of St. George - St. George's Crosses of the IV degree, the medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree, the medal "For Courage" and the medal of Luka Krymsky to distinguished Rosguardsmen.
The Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Andrey Yatskin, the Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein, Director of the Victory Museum Alexander Shkolnik, artistic director of the Moscow Oleg Tabakov Theater Vladimir Mashkov, representatives of the leadership of the Rosguard, military personnel, employees, veterans of the law enforcement forces, cadets of the Moscow Presidential Cadet School named after M.A. Sholokhov of the National Guard Troops, participants of the interregional children's and youth military-patriotic public movement "Guards Change", members of the families of the National Guard servicemen. The guests of honor laid a wreath and flowers at the "Sorrow" sculptural group in the Hall of Memory and Sorrow of the Victory Museum and honored the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence.
In the Hall of Fame of the Victory Museum, Director of the Rosguard Army General Viktor Zolotov congratulated the Rosguardsmen and veterans on their professional holiday and reminded that the law enforcement troops have been guarding public peace and the foundations of Russian statehood for 212 years. The Commander-in-Chief noted that today the Russian National Guard, together with the entire country, is once again resolutely rebuffing any attempts to deprive us of our independence, cultural heritage, historical memory and truth. He also stressed that every day of the special military operation the new examples of the feat and fortitude of the personnel of the National Guard Troops appear. For their valor and courage, over 50 000 Rosguardsmen were awarded state and departmental awards, and since the beginning of the operation, eleven officers of the Russian National Guard have been awarded the highest ranks of Heroes of the Russian Federation.
Army General Viktor Zolotov presented the "Golden Stars" of the Heroes of Russia to three officers. Being under heavy artillery fire, Police Major General Vyacheslav Pytkov took command of the operational reserve, which made it possible not only to complete the combat mission, but also to save the lives of wounded soldiers and civilians. Despite being seriously wounded, the commander of the famous Sofrino brigade, Colonel Sergei Khairudinov, managed to hold an important line of defense, repelling several attacks by superior enemy forces. Thanks to the intelligence of Captain Nikita Palaznik, the breakthrough of the Russian positions was prevented, the nationalists suffered irreparable losses in manpower and equipment. Army General Viktor Zolotov urged to educate the younger generation on the example of the heroes.
The head of the Rosguard awarded military state decorations to other servicemen and employees who were present in the hall. The Director of the Rosguard paid special attention to the fact that for the first time the holiday of law enforcement forces is taking place within the walls of the Victory Memorial Complex on Poklonnaya Hill, which has become a symbol of the immortal feat of the Soviet people in the fight against fascism. Army General Viktor Zolotov expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Victory Memorial Complex, represented by the director Alexander Shkolnik, and presented him with the departmental medal "For Assistance".
The Commander-in-Chief awarded the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Mashkov with the same medal. The Director of the Rosguard also presented departmental awards to the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Andrey Yatskin, Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein and Marina Kim, the Television Channel One journalist, author of the documentary movie about the Russian Guard Marina Kim.
Army General Viktor Zolotov expressed his gratitude to the Moscow Mayor's Office for many years of constructive cooperation with the law enforcement forces and presented Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin with the medal "For Combat Commonwealth". Addressing the participants of the event, Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the Rosguardsmen on the Day of the National Guard Troops and presented the gratitude letters to the employees of the Rosguard Directorate General of Moscow. The Mayor of Moscow stressed that the National Guard servicemen and employees adequately ensure law and justice, peace and tranquility in our country, fight against crime, evil, extremism, provide thousands of mass events, protect the infrastructure of cities, demonstrate courage and heroism during the special military operation.
As part of the festive events in Moscow, the Director of the Rosguard, Army General Viktor Zolotov, presented departmental awards to the Special Forces units officers of the Russian National Guard who participated in the Special Forces Units International Competition "UAE SWAT Challenge 2023", which was held in February in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). This year 57 teams from 28 countries took part in it. In the overall standings, the "Akhmat" team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic rose to the highest step of the podium, the Special Rapid Response Units (SOBR) team of the Russian National Guard became the bronze medalist of the competition, losing only 13 points to the Dubai police, the "Vityaz" Special Purpose Center team took 17th place and became one of the world’s top 20 Special Forces units.
